From luxury hotels with state-of-the-art gym equipment (and separate memberships) to pay-per-use gym pods, these fitness centres provide jetsetting clients a flexible exercising schedule
We know the benefits of incorporating exercise into our daily lives, but the difficulty comes when we’ve early morning meetings, events that run after office hours and even red-eye flights to catch… the list of reasons (or excuses) goes on. But we agree, the above factors have made owning a gym membership fairly redundant… until the introduction of centres that are open 24/7.
Yep, your excuses are no longer acceptable. So have a read, head down for a tour, and if you still can’t bear to sign up for long term memberships, some of these allow walk-in guests.

The newest gym in Singapore’s CBD is tucked in basement one of OUE Downtown Gallery on Shenton Way. Take the escalator located on the far right of the building that’ll lead you to The Providore — which you should walk through promptly, there’s no need to get tempted — and you’ll notice signs that’ll get you in the mood to work up a sweat.
Platinum Fitness comes with all equipment needed for a full body workout, including free weights, benches of different varieties and machines with cables and pulleys for various muscle groups. Joining the ranks of a growing minority of 24-hour boutique gyms in Singapore, what sets Platinum Fitness apart is that clients have the option to engage their own external trainers and have training sessions in the gym.

The Gym Pod
The Gym Pod is the latest gym concept to hit Singapore. It’s Southeast Asia’s first 24-hour container gym and provides a safe environment for you to work out comfortably at your own time and pace. It comes across as slightly small given its size, but The Gym Pod maximises the available space with a treadmill, dumbbell rack and smith machine to help you achieve a wide variety of fitness goals. The downside: Up to three guests can use the pod each time, and it gets fairly squeezy (not to mention, an invasion of personal space) should the numbers be maxed out. Plus, there aren’t any shower facilities.
But for those who don’t mind the lack of facilities, you may enjoy The Gym Pod. It’s also the most affordable on the list, given that each entry costs just $3.50. Unfortunately, just one pod is currently available, though more are slated to open.
