Combining elevated performance with a bolder design, the 2025 iteration of the iconic Aston Martin Vantage delivers the British marque’s most compelling driving experience yet

If you’re the sort who believes a car should be more than just a means of transportation—that the driving experience must be visceral, and stir something deep within your soul—you’re in good company with British carmaker Aston Martin. And with the company’s latest rollout—a reimagining of perhaps its most iconic model, the Vantage, the senses of any self-respecting car aficionado ought to be heightened to the extreme.

In Singapore for its first public showcase since its global debut last December, the all-new 2025 Aston Martin Vantage is everything a true sports car should be: beautiful, brutal, and utterly intoxicating to drive.

At the heart of this creation is Aston Martin’s enduring philosophy – one that marries high performance with handcrafted elegance. Unlike manufacturers that prioritise output and scale, Aston Martin takes a distinctly artisanal approach to carmaking. Each model is painstakingly designed, engineered, and hand-assembled in Gaydon, Warwickshire, with an obsessive attention to detail. It is this commitment to both mechanical precision and emotional resonance that distinguishes the brand.

The Vantage, in particular, has always served as a kind of manifesto for this ethos. Form must follow function, yes, but not at the expense of beauty. Every line, intake, and vent on the new Vantage has been sculpted not only to reduce drag and increase downforce, but also to seduce the eye. This is automotive design and engineering elevated to an art form.

Power and Swagger

It’s no exaggeration to say this is Aston Martin’s sharpest and most powerful Vantage yet. First appearing as a specification for a model of DB2 back in 1950, and officially arriving as a standalone model in 1972, the Vantage of the 21st century is imbued with the soul of a racer and the swagger of a modern icon.

Powering the new Vantage is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, hand-built and tuned to deliver an impressive 665 PS and 800 Nm of torque. That’s 155 more horses than its 2018 predecessor—and it shows. From a standstill, the Vantage leaps to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, chasing a top speed of 325 km/h with the urgency of a car that knows it was built for far more than just city limits.

More than just raw numbers, however, the Vantage feels like a beast that’s been fine-tuned to perfection. Its 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox delivers sharp, responsive shifts, while a near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution gives it a planted, balanced stance on the road. Add to that a revised suspension system, new adaptive dampers, and an electronic rear differential that lets you take on corners with surgical precision.

These are the kind of performance specs that reveal the Vantage’s true nature. A competitive beast that can go toe-to-toe with the best in the business, the car has been pushed to the limits at rallies from the FIA World Endurance Championship to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. Last June, the Vantage proved its dominance by winning the 2024 24 Hours of Spa.

And the cherry on top? The engine’s soundtrack. Whether on the race tracks or city roads, the Vantage sounds absolutely guttural, aggressive, and unmistakably Aston Martin.

Looks that Kill

While the performance figures are enough to get hearts racing, the Vantage’s aesthetic updates deserve their own spotlight. The new look is muscular, aggressive, and, dare we say, sexier than before. A wider grille, redesigned front splitter, and full-width rear light blade all contribute to a stance that’s equal parts elegant and menacing.

On the inside, Aston Martin shows how it has embraced technology but without losing the brand’s hallmark craftsmanship. A completely overhauled cockpit features a new 10.25-inch touchscreen interface with wireless Apple CarPlay, integrated 3D navigation, and over-the-air software updates. The materials? Think hand-stitched leather, tactile Alcantara, and precisely machined metal elements that elevate the cabin to something closer to a bespoke lounge than a mere driver’s seat.

The new Vantage is part of Aston Martin’s broader push into a new era. With a heavy investment into next-gen engineering and a fresh design language, the brand is clearly shifting gears. And Singapore, already home to a loyal community of Aston Martin aficionados, is a key part of that strategy.

The Vantage has always stood for something a little sharper, a little sportier, and a little more daring than the rest of the line-up. With this latest expression, that tradition not only continues–it has been supercharged.

Driving the 2025 Vantage is not a passive experience. It demands your attention, rewards your commitment, and delivers a roar from its sports exhaust that might just convert even the most ardent EV evangelist.

In a world increasingly crowded by hybrid this and silent that, the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage proudly stands as a celebration of the true pleasure of the driving experience. After all, driving should be about more than journeying from point A to B; it’s about everything in between. With the new Vantage, that “in between” has never felt more exhilarating.
