With Independent Reserve as the presenting sponsor, the Singapore leg of the World Corporate Golf Challenge tournament is set to tee off with a new commemorative logo, purposeful giving, and exclusive experiences on and off the course
The World Corporate Golf Challenge Singapore (WCGCS) is back. This time, it’s charting a bold new course with Singapore’s first licensed cryptocurrency exchange, Independent Reserve, as its presenting sponsor. The partnership marks a fresh chapter for the Singapore leg of the prestigious global tournament, blending corporate camaraderie with charitable intent. This journey will ultimately conclude on a global stage, with the World Final held in Shanghai this 19 to 22 October.

Coming up on 28 August, the tournament is set to tee off on the Bukit Course of the Singapore Island Country Club, promising a day of high-stakes tee-offs, elite networking, and fundraising impact. In a meaningful twist, more than 15 per cent of all flight sale proceeds will go towards Extra.Ordinary People—a local charity supporting individuals with special needs, who also played a creative role in shaping the event’s visual identity. Taking inspiration from a painting, titled Soar by Genine Tham from the charity’s Creative Lab, a new commemorative logo beautifully merges the WCGCS and Independent Reserve emblems to symbolise diversity and upliftment.
“We’re not just sponsoring golf; we’re building bridges,” expressed Lasanka Perera, CEO of Independent Reserve Singapore and Robb Report Singapore’s 2024 Thought Leader. “This partnership and event is about community, shared values, and celebrating excellence across different arenas, from the greens to everyday lives.”
The event’s lineup of partners and activations reads like a who’s who of luxury and innovation. Some of what to expect: a live auction featuring memorabilia linked to legends (think Elvis Presley), and also curated wellness products from social enterprise Coco Veda, crafted by an all-women team in the Philippines–these proceeds will also benefit charities.
Two exclusive pre-tournament networking events will add depth to the experience: a 5 Iron Golf simulator session offering access to the global Fall 25 League, and a fireside chat at the Hugo Boss store at Ngee Ann City, featuring Lasanka Perera, as well as Steven Lam, Managing Director of Hugo Boss Southeast Asia. Fresh off her second win on the Ladies European Tour, national golf champion Shannon Tan will also make an appearance at the store to interact with guests.
