Robb Report Penthouse

In this year’s Ultimate Gift Guide 2019 edition, we have curated unique gifting ideas exclusively for our Robb Report readers. For a start, here’s a super penthouse with all the trimmings…

It’s not every day a super penthouse is up for grabs – but this could be your lucky Christmas, as the Concourse Skyline Penthouse by Robb Report Singapore is on the market.

Designed by The I.D Dept, Singapore’s leading luxury interior design firm, the 1,034-sq m penthouse on Beach road is one of six super penthouses in Singapore. It’s been brought to life by Robb Report Singapore, who worked with a host of luxury brands to outfit the space with furniture and fixtures from the likes of Affluency, Akar De Nissim, De Dietrich, Christopher Guy, Hansgrohe, Axor, Kaldewei, Lladró, Space Furniture and Xtra.

Level 39, the first floor of the two-storey penthouse plus rooftop, is where most of the magic happens. Here, you’ll find eight distinctive spaces that cater to social and private areas. Consummate hosts and hostesses will find much to love on this floor: hire a private chef who’ll whip up a storm in the open-concept kitchen, entertain your guests with live music in the epicurean odyssey and take dinner conversations to the salon. Its outdoor seating areas will spoil you with stunning views of the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay and Singapore Strait.

Just around the bend, you’ll find the bomb shelter, aptly named The Capsule, that nestles a 2.01-carat blue diamond. The rest of the space is divided to include The Library, The Bureau and a junior suite nicknamed The Sanctuary. At the furthermost corner of the penthouse lies The Reverie, which can be converted into a third en-suite bedroom.

But it’s not just the ample spaces or the luxurious furniture that make the penthouse so special. It almost doubles as a gallery, as it is replete with spectacular artworks and objets d’art.

In the Portal, you’ll find the movement-activated Inaho light and straw marquetry panel designed by Alexander Lamont, while in the sanctuary, a hand-dyed symphony wallpaper with aluminium leaf by De Gournay adds a touch of luxe. In the Gallery, you’ll find the Silenzio! collection, a series of still images by François Fontaine.

Take the stairs – or private in-house lift – to the second floor, where The Master’s Haven, along with separate his and hers wardrobes, lie.

The Master Bath is also where you’ll spend one too many hours relaxing. The shower doubles as a steam room and the mirrored television screen provides entertainment while you soak in the matte black Kaldewei Meisterstück Classic Duo Oval bathtub.

Swim a lap or two, and relax on a sun lounger or Tosca daybed

Despite being outdoors, The Mediterranean Escape provides respite from the heat. Swim a lap or two in the pool, relax on the sun loungers or Tosca daybed, and enjoy some bubbles in the jacuzzi.

A second steam bath is tucked in the corner, great for when you have guests over.

The Skyline and Oasis on the third floor may not come to mind immediately when one thinks of finding a quiet corner to relax, but they offer a sense of tranquillity, enhanced by the views of the skyline.
