With the launch of the new La Première suite on flights to Paris from Singapore, Air France offers its most seamless and exclusive travel experience to the region
One wonders what the Wright brothers might make of what flight has become. From a 12-second hop over a North Carolina field to an opulent thirteen-hour journey between Singapore and Paris, air travel has evolved into something far beyond transportation.
With the welcome news that Air France is now operating its newly redesigned La Première experience on flights to and from Singapore, the airline is bringing its most exclusive and purest expression of air travel to Southeast Asia’s most discerning gateway. If you’re planning a trip to Paris (or returning home), you’d be glad to know the experience offers much more than first-class, in-cabin comfort.

From the moment you arrive at Charles-de-Gaulle airport, you’re immersed in French refinement—welcomed with private transfers, expedited through a discreet and seamless check-in, and led into one of the most exclusive airport lounges in the world. In this sense, the journey begins well before the destination.
French Elegance
For those familiar with the evolving landscape of modern aviation, it’s clear that fully integrated, end-to-end service has become the gold standard for well-heeled travellers. Comfort, while expected, is no longer a point of differentiation. What sets La Première apart is how thoroughly every element is designed.
Take, for example, the in-flight suite. Spanning nearly 3.5 sqm and framed by five windows, it offers an immediate sense of space and privacy. Each is enclosed by a full-height curtain, creating a self-contained environment that feels like a private room. This, coupled with the strategic lack of overhead compartments (two carry-on bags can be stored in an integrated sliding drawer below), results in an open and expansive area that induces a leisurely repose.

At the core of the layout is a two-part configuration: a wide, deeply cushioned seat for dining or reclining, and a separate chaise longue designed for stretching out or sleeping. Dressed in plush bedding, the chaise longue unfolds into a 2m-long bed and is arranged to allow you free rein to stretch and unwind.
The design language here is effortlessly refined and sophisticated. Full-grain leather, brushed metal, and thick wool surfaces come together in a muted palette of greys and off-whites, with subtle champagne-toned accents. Couple that with the suite’s twin 32-inch 4K screens—viewable from both seat and bed—and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and you have a space that is both visually striking and premium to the touch.
This should come as no surprise. Air France, after all, has long positioned itself as a high-flying steward of French savoir-faire, and with La Première, that philosophy is fully realised. From cabin materials to service rituals, each touchpoint has been crafted in collaboration with some of France’s most respected names in design, gastronomy, fashion, and beauty. You only need to look at the premium comfort kit, created in collaboration with Sisley, the renowned French phyto-cosmetology house, and the elegant sleepwear designed by French fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.

Nowhere, however, is this approach more evident than in La Première’s dining experience. On board, meals are crafted in collaboration with Michelin-starred chefs, including names like Anne-Sophie Pic and, more recently, Julien Royer of Odette. Each dish is served course by course, plated individually in the galley and, paired with a wine list curated by sommelier Xavier Thuizat.
Seamless Journeys
Most importantly, the experience doesn’t end when the wheels touch down. After disembarking, you’ll be greeted at the aircraft door and guided along a discreet, private route through the terminal, bypassing the airport bustle entirely. A dedicated concierge handles immigration and luggage retrieval while you unwind in the vestibule, an exclusive 570 sqm check-in lobby where you can enjoy a meal or take a refreshing shower. Should you have a connecting flight, La Première personnel will escort you directly from the vestibule to your onward aircraft in a Porsche Cayenne Hybrid.

If you’re returning home from Paris, however, you can expect a similarly tailored choreography when departing from Charles-de-Gaulle: a private check-in area, an exclusive security channel, and direct access to the expansive, 1000 sqm La Première lounge. With its calm interiors, in-lounge Sisley spa, and attentive service, the lounge offers a welcome interlude before continuing onward. Here, you can have a meal curated by Alain Ducasse and his team, freshen up, or simply take a quiet moment to reset.

For those seeking added privacy, you have the option of booking one of three 45 sqm private suites. Designed with the elegance of a Parisian apartment, each suite features a bedroom, bathroom, dining area, and outdoor patio and is furnished with pieces from Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Paulin, and Philippe Starck.

From the lounge or your private suite, your departure is handled seamlessly, culminating in a tarmac transfer to your aircraft and a return to yet another indulgent experience in the sky.
