Robb Reviews: Brow Resurrection Blend

By Amos Chin 27 June, 2025

Unlike eyebrow embroidery, Brow Resurrection Blend (BR Blend) lends a fuller brow without the risk of pigment migration or colour distortion

I’ve never had much trouble with my eyebrows; though they’re sparse in some areas, three minutes with an eyebrow pencil is all it takes when I want them to look more polished. Unfortunately, I always want them to look well-kempt, but I rarely have those three minutes to spare in the morning—I blame insomnia. Enter the Browhaus Brow Resurrection Blend treatment.

Unlike traditional eyebrow embroidery, this state-of-the-art procedure uses chemically stable pigments, eliminating the risk of colour distortion or pigment migration—no more green or red brows after healing, or ever. By depositing pigment at the optimal depth in the skin, it fills sparse areas and shapes the brows with a soft, powdered gradient. The result: uniform, natural-looking brows with subtle definition, as if you’d actually spent time doing them.

The experience

Now that we’ve covered the fundamentals—here’s how the process unfolds. Despite having several tattoos, the thought of tiny needles repeatedly pricking my skin still felt intimidating. But during the consultation, Mandy, the certified therapist, quickly put me at ease. We discussed the ideal brow shape, colour selections (yes, plural—for a gradient effect), and detailed aftercare instructions.

She then brought the vision to life by trimming and plucking stray hairs before outlining and filling in the brows. It’s akin to stencilling in tattooing, where placement and design are carefully mapped out to ensure symmetry and precision before any pigment touches the skin. While the discomfort is minimal—painless for many—a numbing solution is applied and left on for 20 minutes. At Browhaus, the old “no pain, no gain” cliché doesn’t hold up.

Once the timer beeped, it was go time. Mandy wiped off the numbing cream and began dotting the outline with a marker. A quick caveat: the ink may linger on the skin for a few days post-procedure—mainly because you’re advised not to rub or handle your brows aggressively during the healing process. Fortunately, I didn’t experience this issue.

Using the finest multi-pins, she began depositing pigment into my skin. It wasn’t exactly painful, but not entirely painless either—at times, it felt exactly like what it was: a needle lightly pricking the surface. For the most part, though, I barely felt a thing. If I had to rate the pain, it’d be a one out of ten. What truly caught me off guard was the sound—it reminded me of a Kalimba: rhythmic, soft, almost musical.

Perhaps that’s what kept me still and entertained during the 90-minute session—between the gentle Kalimba-like sounds and the meaningful conversations I shared with Mandy.

It was also then that I realised the therapists at Browhaus are trained to pursue perfection—having undergone extensive courses and countless training sessions. Even after the procedure, she continued refining my brows, ensuring the new shape blended seamlessly with the natural hairs.

The finale

Before sending me on my way, she applied two Browhaus aftercare products to my freshly shaped brows: Build and Fix. These help prolong the results of the treatment—lasting anywhere from 12 to 18 months with proper care. Build is specially formulated for post-treatment use, enriched with growth factors that repair and regenerate skin cells. Fix, on the other hand, is an anti-scarring balm packed with vitamins A and D, plus lanolin, to promote healing, moisturise the skin, and prevent dryness.

I was also given a few crucial aftercare tips: avoid excessive sweating, rubbing, and scratching (the skin will get itchy during recovery), and keep the brows dry for a week. If they do get wet, it’s important to gently pat them dry.

It’s also worth noting that the brows will initially appear darker than expected. But don’t panic like I did. The pigment gradually fades over the week, settling into a much more natural-looking finish. Plus, a complimentary tune-up session is included in the package, allowing clients to return within three months for a touch-up and final refinements.
