Your Culinary Affair: Marriott International matchmakes you with one of five gastronomic journeys as part of Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week

From beef tartare making lessons to art jamming sessions, the luxury hotel group has dreamed up cool ways to make dining all that much more enjoyable

Sure, you can choose what’s for dinner by deciding what cuisine you’d like to have, which restaurant you’ve yet to try, or what’s in the vicinity. But where’s the fun in that, especially when Marriott International has launched its Culinary Matchmaker, where guests are provided dining options based on their personalities and mood?

The digital platform pairs guests with a profile based on images they’ve selected during the questionnaire. There’s Adventurer, Classicist, Fun Lover, Hands On Artist, or Sophisticated.

Now, the app isn’t just for fickle diners, it plays a major supporting role as part of the hotel’s larger initiative: Your Culinary Affair Restaurant Week. The week-long affair, which runs from 15 to 24 June this year, will offer a host of interactive experiences at 17 restaurants under its Singapore portfolio.

Participating restaurants include Akira Back, Beach Road Kitchen, Brasserie Les Saveurs, Colony, Madame Fan, Skirt, Sky 22, Summer Pavilion and Yan Ting. Each restaurant will not only showcase its specials and signatures but also offer that something extra. Take for example art jamming sessions at Akira Back or learning how to make beef tartare at Skirt.

Based on my answers, Your Culinary Affair has deduced that I’m a Hands on Artist. With that, it’s paired me with three restaurants, including Sky 22 at Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena. Should I make the booking and head down, I’ll also be treated to a DIY Wild Rice Kit, and a complimentary Chendol dessert.

Like the dining profile selected for you? There’s no swiping right. Just make a reservation and enjoy your meal which will come with complimentary chef’s specials. And, if you post your meals on Instagram with #yourculinaryaffair and geotag the restaurant, you’ll stand a chance to win room stays, brunch or dinner experiences for two at Marriott International hotels in Singapore.
