By Audrey Simon 29 July, 2025

Set in an iconic location, HAUS Da Lat redefines luxury living in Vietnam, a captivating mix of innovative architecture, untouched natural beauty, and heartfelt hospitality

Overlooking the legendary Xuan Huong Lake—widely regarded as one of Vietnam’s most picturesque locations—HAUS Da Lat occupies a coveted five-hectare estate in the heart of the city. HAUS Da Lat is Vietnam’s first ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-certified real estate complex, setting a new benchmark for sustainable, responsible, and community-focused development.

Developed by The One Destination in collaboration with Terne Holdings and BTS Bernina Private Equity Fund, this visionary five-hectare estate overlooks Xuan Huong Lake in the heart of Da Lat. At its core is a luxurious 5-star resort managed by InterContinental Hotels & Resorts—bringing global expertise to elevate every aspect of hospitality.

The property pays homage to Da Lat’s unique blend of French colonial romance and Vietnamese tradition, with architecture and landscaping thoughtfully designed to harmonise with the region’s temperate climate, lush pine forests, and ethereal morning mists.

Often called “Asia’s Little Paris,” Da Lat was originally favoured by French colonialists in the early 20th century for its refreshing weather, vibrant flowers, lush forests, and idyllic lakeside setting. The legacy of this era remains alive today in the city’s 1,500 French-style villas, grand homes, and iconic public buildings, including a charming replica of the Eiffel Tower.

What sets HAUS Da Lat apart is its collaboration with a select group of world-renowned experts. Leading the vision is Kengo Kuma, Japan’s most respected contemporary architect, celebrated for his philosophy of harmonising architecture with nature and his sensitivity to context. For HAUS Da Lat, Kuma’s organic forms evoke the surrounding natural landscape, using local materials and layered textures to mirror the pine forests and terraced hillsides.

The interiors are by 1508 London, an award-winning design firm acclaimed for its bespoke, emotive spaces. With a history of numerous accolades—including being longlisted and shortlisted for the 2020 Dezeen Awards in the Interior Designer of the Year category—1508 London exemplifies excellence in architecture and interior design. The annual Dezeen Awards, organised by one of the world’s most influential design magazines, recognise outstanding achievement in architecture, interiors, and design. In 2025, the firm was also recognised as a Great British Brand by Country & Town House, cementing its reputation as a leading luxury design house with international reach.

For HAUS Da Lat, 1508 London crafts a design narrative where tradition meets modernity, with subtle nods to Vietnamese heritage woven into a contemporary aesthetic. Discreetly nestled among the trees, each pavilion offers enhanced privacy and a serene communion with nature.

Lighting, skilfully curated by Isometrix, plays a vital role in shaping the guest experience—setting the mood, ensuring safety, and accentuating both architectural and natural beauty. Their thoughtful lighting design fosters an emotional connection, subtly playing with shadows, mist, and filtered sunlight to heighten serenity and understated opulence.

It is not just a club; it is a way of life.
