Across 11 days, Singapore Design Week 2025 will commemorate 60 years of Singapore independence with new commission and collaborations

Singapore Design Week is returning this 11 to 21 September 2025, and you can expect a city-wide celebration of design ingenuity. Across 11 days, this year’s edition will commemorate 60 years of Singapore independence with commissions and collaborations, reflecting how design has transformed our country and how it will continue to shape its narrative for the future.

Here are some key events to look forward to.

FIND – Design Fair Asia

When: 11 to 13 September 2025

Where: Sands Expo & Convention Centre

As Asia’s premier marketplace for furniture, interiors and design, FIND – Design Fair Asia 2025 will connect you with over 300 international brands from across the region. At the fourth and most expansive edition, look forward to personalised buyer matchmaking; the FIND Global Summit, which will feature over 60 cross-disciplinary voices from architecture, design and hospitality; and Emerge @ FIND, a platform championing over 70 up-and-coming Asian design talents. Register by 11 September 2025 for a free pass, or enjoy admission at S$39 on-site.

The Sausage of the Future

When: 11 September to 19 October 2025

Where: NAFA Fashion Gallery, NAFA Campus 2

In a time of climate pressure and food insecurity, The Sausage of the Future takes one of the world’s oldest food inventions, reimagining it as a symbol of sustainability and innovation. Developed by Studio Carolien Niebling, this exploration of a more responsible and creative eating involves newly designed sausage concepts that address urgent food themes, such as food waste, biodiversity, preservation and most fun of all, the psychology of disgust. Admission is free.

Unnatural History Museum of Singapore

When: 11 September to 26 October 2025, 9am to 9pm

Where: National Design Centre

It’s amazing how Singapore, a country with limited resources, has survived and thrived, even till today. But more than just feats of individual ingenuity, this exhibition is a testament to the creativity that has driven Singapore’s progress over the years. Set within a transformed atrium at the National Design Centre, exhibits reimagined as historical artefacts encourage visitors to reflect on the role design has played in our nation-building journey, and how it might continue to guide our collective future. Admission is free.

Singapore River Festival

When: 12 to 21 September 2025

Where: Singapore River

This year’s Singapore River Festival marks its return with a vibrant Design Edition, honouring Singapore’s 60th birthday with design-focused experiences that showcase the river’s enduring spirit. Located across Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay, highlights include an artisanal market, open-air silent movie, heritage boat tour by The Urbanist Singapore (S$38 per person), and a guided architectural walk (S$20 per person) by award-winning photographer Joseph Goh.

Design Futures Forum: Braving Complexities

When: 17 September 2025, 9.30am to 7pm

Where: Victoria Theatre

Returning for its third edition, this forum will address how the pressing issues of care, sustainability and emerging technologies are becoming ever more intertwined, leading to both challenges and unprecedented opportunities for design to make a profound impact.
