The Ritz Suite

Sky-high living in one of the most luxurious hotels in singapore’s cbd

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has undergone a multitude of changes throughout the past year and the cherry on top of the cake has got to be its revamped Ritz Suite, located at the top floor of the hotel premises.

Despite having to share the space with those who patronise Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge — the lounge is located to the right of the corridor as you leave the lift lobby — and thus making it less private than you’d expect, once you step through the doors of the Ritz Suite, all is forgotten. A private sanctuary awaits.

The 2,347-sqft (218sqm) penthouse is located on the 32nd floor and offers a breathtaking view of the city. The elongated five-section suite is decked in soothing celadon and beige, furnished with custom-designed pieces of furniture, and adorned with works by notable artists like Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst.

Upon swiping your key card, you’re greeted by a spacious living room, and treated to a stunning view of Marina Bay. Indulge in complementary single malts or cognacs by the open free-flow bar, and if you’re having guests over, request for a bartender who will be more than happy to create bespoke cocktails for everyone.

Double oak-wood doors on the left lead to a board-cum-dining room. A built-in projector screen is stowed away in the ceiling above, making it easy to conduct meetings, conference calls and the likes. In the evening, butlers can transform the room fit for an intimate dinner party for 10, while a private chef whips up meals from the kitchen that’s hidden behind the living area.

Further to the left sits an entertainment room that comes with a super-sized bathroom – complete with a bathtub, standing shower, and vanity sink. The room can also be converted into a second king, or twin guest room. Unwind and be serenaded by tunes from the Sonos sound systems, select a classic film from an extensive list of movies, or pick up consoles and engage in some ‘modern warfare’ on the Xbox and PlayStation.

The fanfare of the suite’s three social areas simply paves the way for the highlight of the Ritz Suite: the master bedroom. Cleverly hidden to the right of the living area, guests are led through a walkway into a private haven. No expense has been spared. This sanctuary has a work area, smaller living room, spacious walk-in wardrobe, and of course, a larger-than-life bathroom that’s just as spacious as the bedroom itself.

Dial for 24-hour personalised butler service to draw a bath in the two-metre long jacuzzi and take your pick from a curated selection of bubble bath soaps, aromatherapy scents and Asprey bath amenities. Surprise your loved one by selecting a spa package that comprises a rose petal bath, a bottle of champagne and strawberries and cream on the side. Admire the panoramic views of the lion city’s iconic skyline, and when you’re done, slip into the shower stall-cum-steam room.

Many would agree that it’s the finishing touches that define an outstanding suite from an ordinary one. We think that the Ritz Suite belongs to the former.
