Chateau d’Yquem Leather Collection

As far as Sauternes is concerned, Chateau d’Yquem holds pole position. Acquired by LVMH in 1999, the estate is currently overseen by Pierre Lurton, president of the estate. Constancy is a hallmark of the chateau, earning it critical acclaim from illustrious wine authorities such as Robert Parker.

In addition to the consistency of quality and production, the ageing potential and longevity of Chateau d’Yquem’s wines are nothing short of legendary. The flawless balance between residual sugars, acidity, and alcohol in the wines mean that it can indeed be enjoyed young and fresh, but will mature beautifully if properly cellared — in fact, it is not uncommon for Yquem’s best vintages to deliver intense pleasure at a hundred years of age.

A selection of 12 of Yquem’s most prestigious vintages is now available in a limited-edition case embossed with the instantly recognisable Yquem stamp on the exterior and interior. Each case is elegantly handcrafted from fine leather by Bordeaux’s leading artisans, and holds one bottle each of 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1991, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. The bottles are picked from the estate’s cellars, where they have been matured under impeccable conditions.

Priced at $12,000 per collection, the offering is limited to only 150 sets globally.
