Loloma, a highly customised Zeelander 7, is a visual treat on the water

While yacht owners are increasingly putting stock into the comfort and liveability of their vessels’ interior spaces, it’s hard to deny (or resist) the allure of a striking exterior that touches upon one’s deepest sensibilities.

Dutch shipyard Zeelander Yachts, with their range of curvaceous and coupe-like vessels, has become one of the more vivid proponents of this sentiment. With their latest delivery of Loloma, a highly customised vessel of its Zeelander 7 model, the shipyard continues to flex its pedigree in delivering head-turning yachts.

Recently delivered to its owner, the 20.3m Loloma sports an elegantly curvaceous sheerline, a familiar design language of Zeelander. What is most striking here, however, is its grey, almost monochromatic palette. Rather than the warm, dark blue and white superstructures typically seen on the brand’s vessels, Loloma features a silvery grey exterior that gives it a neo-vintage appeal.

This muted aesthetic extends to the vessel’s interior spaces as well. Crafted in close collaboration with the owner, the interior of Loloma exudes contemporary European minimalism. Utilising a combination of stone, greys, dark woods, and beige, the interiors of the vessel express subdued refinement. Adding a touch of charm, however, is the use of swamp oak—an ultra-rare material formed over centuries in peat bogs and riverbeds—throughout the yacht, lending a rich, organic contrast to the vessel’s clean and modern lines.

Grey-toned synthetic teak decks, Corian shower walls, and bouclé-upholstered seating amplify the yacht’s minimalist language, while bespoke design elements such as hand-painted grey wood art and brushed stainless steel—used here in place of the typical polished finishes— reinforce Loloma’s identity as a true one-off.

In terms of layout and onboard functionality, Loloma is able to accommodate up to six guests across a lavish full-beam master suite and two additional staterooms. The vessel also provides a flexible lounging and dining space for up to eight in her main-deck saloon, with a special custom foldable table designed to maximise interior space.

As expected from Zeelander, the vessel is no slouch on the water. Thanks to triple IPS 1350 engines, Loloma can reach exhilarating top speeds of 40 knots while maintaining an impressive 70 decibels even at full throttle. For more leisurely cruising, she boasts a 2,700-nautical-mile range at 7 knots, making her more than capable of extended bluewater adventures.
