Berluti brings fashion heat to the Paris Olympic Games

The fashion house will be outfitting Team France for the opening ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024

The Berluti for Paris Olympic Games 2024 outfits see sleek tailoring and contemporary silhouettes.

Impossibly fit, toned, and radiating vitality—Berluti couldn’t have dreamt of a better crew to dress than the athletes and coaches of the French team competing in the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

Berluti will be creating 1,500 custom-made outfits for Team France to wear at the opening ceremonies of the events. Designed in France and made with scrupulous attention to detail at its atelier in Italy, the outfits were conceived in close consultation with the athletes, aiming to “invoke pride… and live up to their ambitions”.

Effortless elegance appears to be the order of the day, as Berluti marches out racks of tuxedos in midnight blue—including sleeveless versions for the female athletes—accentuated by bluish-red shawl collars evoking the hues of the French flag, and paired with crisp white cotton-silk shirts. The men will be shod in the Berluti Shadow-style trainers accented with France’s national colours, while female athletes and coaches will sport trainers of a similar style or Lorenzo leather loafers.

“I had to find a way to marry together comfort and elegance in crafting an outfit that would be worthy of such a historic moment. All eyes will be on the athletes and coaches for the big day, so I hope that they will be feeling stylish. I want them to be as proud to wear their outfit as I have been to contribute to this fantastic project,” says Carine Roitfeld, Berluti’s fashion consultant and stylist who helmed the project, in a press statement.
