Harvested in May, this tea is cultivated using a special method designed to enhance its aroma and fragrance. Known as kabuse cha, the tea tree shades the leaves and nurtures a unique ooi-ka—an aroma signature of Japan’s finest green teas. After harvest, the leaves are processed the same day and undergo fukamushi cha, a deep-steaming technique that imparts a complex aroma layered with hints of honeysuckle and a velvety finish.
