Marcello

Experience la dolce vita at Marcello’s hard-to-beat Aperitivo Hour, featuring $10 Spritzes that are served with smoked olives and aged Italian parmesan. Happy hour at this Italian craft cocktail bar runs from 7pm to 9pm from Monday to Saturday — perfect for those who can’t always get out of the office by 5pm. Located at Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay, the bar is hidden by a dark blue curtain and helmed by bartenders in snazzy white jackets. Besides the modern Italian cocktail list (the negronis are spot on), Marcello also houses the largest selection of amari in Singapore.

Martini Bar

Whether you like it shaken or stirred, the award-winning Martini Bar at Grand Hyatt Singapore’s Mezza9, which has one of the largest selection of martinis in the city, is almost certain to have your poison of choice. From 5pm to 9pm daily, the bar’s signature and classic martinis go for just $14. The lychee martini is a tried-and-tested favourite but the list ranges from uber-classics like the dry martini to decadent variations like the espresso martini. Other ‘Mezzatime’ deals include $14 handcrafted gin and tonics, sustainable wines by the glass as well as $9 beers.

Morton’s Bar

The happy hour at Morton’s Bar is the OG in Singapore. Affectionately called Mortini Night, happy hour runs from 5 to 7pm from Monday to Saturday, where a selection of the bar’s martinis are served at $15.95 each. Drinks may seem a little pricier compared to those at other joints, but here, the martinis are served American-style (read: supersized and very strong). And the clincher — complimentary filet mignon slices sandwiched between buttery loaves. We daresay they’re as good at the stuff the steakhouse serves, so come hungry and dig in.
