Dior reimagines its Book Tote with Macrocannage leather

The Dior Book Tote in Macrocannage leather will drop in stores next week

Characterised by its architectural silhouette, the Dior Book Tote, a luxurious handbag that embodies the quintessential spirit of the fashion house, undergoes a facelift for the Dior Cruise 2024 collection dreamed up by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. At the crossroads of elegance, excellence, and inventiveness, this tote melds the iconic codes of the Maison, featuring the signature, rectangular construction formed by a reinterpretation of the iconic cannage leather.

Here, the textile–dubbed the ‘Macrocannage’, features larger and bolder diamond-shaped quilted patterns compared to the traditional smaller-scale cannage; its geometric lines are outlined in an irresistible interplay of relief and perspective.

Complementing this intricate quilted detailing of the Macrocannage leather, precious punctuations, like the ‘D, I, O, R’ charms –sublimating this emblematic bag for the first time– are carefully crafted by hand, expressing the art of detail so dear to the founding couturier. Like a delicate seal, the ‘Christian Dior’ signature completes this object of desire and exception.

Arriving in stores next week with three size options, small, medium and large, this accomplice of timeless sophistication can be adapted to all occasions thanks to its functional strap, promising a free and assertive allure.
