To start, the amuse-bouche of Smoked Duck Ceviche served with a young mesclun salad and a balsamic reduction ought to whet the appetite. This is followed by the soup course featuring a comforting classic: Carrot Pumpkin Soup, topped with crushed pistachios for textural contrast. The appetiser is next, and it’s a taste of the sea, with the Cheese-Baked Mussels with Pomodoro Sauce and the delicate Smoked Salmon Rolled with Peach.
Following a palate cleanser of refreshing Lime Sorbet, the entrees beckon. Mum will be spoilt for choice with three options.
The Signature Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef is a Lawry’s classic. 150g of succulent steak is served with fluffy US Idaho mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding that has been baked in individual copper skillets, whipped cream horseradish, and a choice of creamed corn, creamed spinach, or buttered peas.
Another must-try is the Slow-braised Lamb Shank, famed for its melt-in-the-mouth tender meat and depth of flavour that’s enhanced by the port wine sauce. The dish comes complete with a tortilla, sour cream, US Idaho mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. For those who prefer seafood, the Atlantic Lobster Tail with Grilled Seabass offers an indulgent alternative.
For dessert, it’s hard to go wrong with the classic flavour combination of mint and chocolate in the rich Mint Chocolate Fudge Cake. If a lighter dessert is favoured after an indulgent meal, the Heartfelt Berry Bliss Cake is a violet flower sponge dressed with cream strawberry mousse, and strawberry compote.
