Cartier invites us to celebrate harmony through an exploration of contrasts, where minimalism meets maximalism in a stunning collection dubbed En Équilibre
Achieving equilibrium in high jewellery involves creating pieces that are both visually stunning and comfortable to wear. This delicate balance is embodied in Cartier’s latest collection, En Équilibre. It features the thoughtful arrangement of all elements—such as gemstones, metals, colours, and shapes—to ensure that the final design highlights the integration of these components in harmony.
From the purity of lines to the strength of volumes, and from the interplay of colours to the balance between full and empty spaces, everything in this collection is thoughtfully designed to come together harmoniously. Subtle shades and bold chromatic contrasts—combining symmetry and asymmetry—show that harmony can be achieved even through opposing forces.
The Cartier style is rooted in its unique vision of balance, this approach—ranging from understated elegance to bold statements—reflects Cartier’s expertise in mastering contrasts and bringing elements into one cohesive unity.
En Équilibre exemplifies this philosophy, showcasing Cartier’s distinctive aesthetic characterised by simple yet impactful forms, vibrant yet restrained colours, and a rhythmic interplay between solidity and openness.
Let’s take a closer look at the collection that embodies a graceful dance along a creative tightrope—a space where minimalism and maximalism, subtlety and boldness coexist in perfect accord.

Shito
This necklace features two 49.37-carat Zambian emerald drops, suspended in asymmetrical pendants that mark the beginning and end of a line of emeralds and diamonds. Two gentle curves are joined by an X of diamonds, and at the back, an adjustable clasp set with diamonds.

Hyala
Adorned with diamonds and coloured sapphires, the use of rose gold gives the impression that the stones are set directly onto the neck. This effect of transparency is highlighted by a pear-shaped diamond beneath a 5.71-carat oval-cut diamond set in a pendant.

Panthère Orbitale
Perched on a coral cabochon in its iconic stance, the panther appears ready to strike at any moment. From its emerald eyes to the tips of its ears, it is sculpted with a coat of diamonds and onyx. Coral merges with amethyst, creating a flowing transition from the central cabochon to the smallest beads encircling the neck.

Panthère Dentelée
The panther is crafted with onyx spots, diamonds, and open-work motifs; its lace-like body adds depth and movement. Colombian emeralds are transformed into a cascade of faceted beads of varying sizes, their vivid colours brought to life through a system of threading and layering.

Tsaga
As elusive as a snow leopard, this necklace captures the essence of a rare, subtly moving creature. Employing a trompe-l’œil effect, the interplay of lines creates an optical illusion where the feline’s head appears or disappears depending on the angle.

Traforato
This piece features a geometric mesh with a series of creative stones at its centre. Three octagonal Colombian emeralds of varying sizes form the core, with touches of emerald and onyx.

Pavocelle
Inspired by the peacock’s tail, this necklace is built around a 58.08-carat cabochon that inspired Cartier to craft a piece resembling the display of feathers, with openwork motifs. In keeping with the Maison’s tradition, the central stone and its support are transformable from a brooch with the pear-shaped diamond in the clasp that can be worn as a pendant, too.
