Fancy uncompromising, top-notch business efficiency on your travels? Imagine jetting off from Asia to Europe for your meetings, arriving in just under 10 hours. Or maximising your workflow—or power naps, perhaps—while cloistered in comforting sophistication.

Gulfstream is glad to be of service. Not just that, the game-changing American aircraft company is also offering you choices. Would it be onboard its new flagship Gulfstream G700, which boasts the most spacious cabin in the industry? Or the Gulfstream G800, its longest-range aircraft that takes you from Singapore to California with distance to spare?

The Gulfstream I made its first flight in 1958, and today there are more than 3,000 in service around the world. It is a feat that is topped only by a track record for pushing the envelope on performance, technology and design in private aviation. Ever since the twin-engine Gulfstream I, Gulfstream has constantly sought to improve the capacity, range and luxurious allure of its fleet through a combination of advanced aerodynamics and technology as well as an intuitive knack for bespoke luxury.

New heights

The G700 and G800 are testaments to Gulfstream’s relentless pursuit of aviation perfection. Introduced in 2019, the G700 is billed by the company as the most spacious, best-performing aircraft in the business-jet industry—with specifications and qualities to back it up. Boasting “the tallest, widest and longest cabin in the industry”, the G700 can fit up to 19 passengers while allowing for up to five living areas, including a six-seat dining or conference area, and a master suite with shower—all of which can be configured as you wish.

In addition to flying at industry-setting low altitudes, you get to enjoy 100 per cent fresh air and a plasma ionisation purification system. The G700 is also pretty fast. In 2023, the aircraft embarked on a world tour to test its capabilities and reach customers directly, flying to over 20 countries across six continents. Besides excelling in reliability and comfort, the G700 amassed over 25 speed records on the world tour, including one from Savannah, Georgia, to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 12 hours and 36 minutes, at an average speed of Mach 0.90.

The second Gulfstream aircraft that is primed to scale new heights is the Gulfstream G800. Hailed by the company as its new long-distance leader, the aircraft, which debuted in 2021, can fly for 14,816km with a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85—an unprecedented industry standard. With its breakthrough in speed and range, the G800 shaves almost 1.5 hours of travel time for flights that are longer than 12,308km.

On the inside, the aircraft is designed to acommodate up to 19 passengers, with the option of three living areas with a crew compartment. Like the G700, ultimate comfort with bespoke options are par for the course. Its customisable interiors allow you to decide how you wish to arrange the plush, ergonomically optimised seats (upholstery of your choosing, naturally), cocooned by its relaxing and high-tech lighting system.

Gulfstream not only offers discerning passengers unrivalled efficiency and luxury, it does so with care for the environment. The G700 and G800 are among its next-generation fleet of aircraft that feature sustainability-focused innovations from the inside out. Both aircraft are considered the industry’s most fuel-efficient and are powered by state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce engines that boost performance while decreasing environmental noise as well as emissions. Additionally, the majority of flights on the G700 and G800 have been conducted using sustainable aviation fuels, an alternative energy development that Gulfstream is committed to, which has the potential to reduce net carbon dioxide by nearly 80 per cent compared to conventional jet fuel.

Gulfstream is one of the few high-end aviation companies that epitomises excellence. The company has practically established the standard for private jet aviation from the start, and it offers forward-looking innovations that have no equal in the aviation industry.
