Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms Tech

First conceived as a serious tool watch and diving instrument, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is going the lifestyle route. Introduced as the Fifty Fathoms Tech, it comes with an interchangeable strap system, allowing wearers to switch styles as they please—no tools required. It also retains its mechanical credentials, such as an automatic calibre 1315A, a 4 Hz movement that collectors adore, and a sapphire caseback that boasts a view of the movement’s decorations. Yours for 19,000 CHF.

Anantara Siam Bangkok begins a new era

Originally opened in 1983 and designed by George Wimberly, one of Asia’s most treasured hotels is embarking on a transformative new chapter. But more than just a US$50 million renovation, the reimagined Anantara Siam will deepen its identity as a living cultural landmark, where every stay will be a timeless journey through Thailand’s rich traditions and elegance. Guests can look forward to a signature Jim Thompson Suite, a gem developed in collaboration with Thailand’s most iconic silk brand; all-new Garden Suites with private plunge pools; and a greater commitment to cultural immersion. Think morning alms-giving rituals, Thai botanical cocktail hours and Khon mask-making workshops.

Byredo Absolu Collection

The Absolu Collection, whose story began in October 2024 with the Mojave Ghost Absolu, followed by the Blanche Absolu, has welcomed two new additions. For something vibrant yet sensual, there’s the Bal d’Afrique that begins the experience with bergamot and blackcurrant, before dissolving into praline and musks. As for something more intense and smoky, Rose of No Man’s Land is a subtle but powerful concoction of saffron, blackcurrant and pepper that eventually takes you to a lush, petal-drenched heart.

IWC Schaffhausen’s Top Gun collection gets a little more colourful

The Colours of Top Gun collection just got a bit more colourful. Inspired by the world of naval aviation and developed in collab with Pantone, its latest colour—Top Gun Miramar—takes cue from the light blue T-shirts that Top Gun instructors wear beneath their flight suits. Limited to 1,000 pieces, the IWC Schaffhausen Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Miramar dons a light blue ceramic case, paired with a complementary dial and water-repellent rubber strap. It’s also equipped with a 69380 calibre and Super-LumiNova-coated blue hands, a great help in low-light conditions.

Rimac Nevera R makes debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Having just set a new world record (it went from zero to 400 km/hr in 25.79 seconds) as the world’s fastest-accelerating production car, the Rimac Nevera R took centre stage at the festival’s Supercar Paddock. Complete with improved tires and tweaked torque vectoring, the electric hypercar showed its chops on a challenging 1.87-kilometre uphill course, with Bugatti Rimac chief test and development driver Miroslav Zrnčević behind the wheel. Limited to 40 units worldwide, the Nevera R is the ultimate expression of Rimac’s technology, taking you from zero to hero (96.6 km/hr, to be exact) in just 1.66 seconds, without sacrificing comfort or usability.

Chanel’s temporary oasis

Until Chanel at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands reopens in 2027, a temporary boutique is in store. Located just steps away within the same mall, the new space is dedicated to the latest ready-to-wear collections, bags, shoes, costume jewellery, eyewear and an exclusive selection of watches and fine jewellery.
