This sleek new dayboat was designed to cut through waves like a knife

The Alpha 50 sports a wave-piercing hull and four 500 hp outboards

Technohull’s newest fleet member is an alpha yacht by name and by nature.

The 15-metres, known as the Alpha 50, is set to dominate its category by offering exceptional speed, style, and seakeeping. The Greek yard says it has already sold 14 hulls, in fact.

The sleek, aerodynamic vessel is characterised by a semi-straight, wave-piercing bow and a deep-V Dynastream hull with ventilated steps that together ensure excellent handling even in rough weather conditions. The streamlined dayboat is also super efficient, consuming the same amount of fuel as Technohull’s smaller models.

As for grunt, the Alpha 50 can be fitted with a range of different inboard or outboard engines. Four Mercury outboards rated at 500 hp will enable speeds in excess of 78 knots (145 km/hr), but the yard says speeds of up to 87 knots (161 km/hr) are possible with more powerful setups.

The Alpha 50 promises a comfortable cruising experience, too. The runabout is equipped with a new aerodynamic hardtop with a full glass windshield that protects the captain and passengers from the elements. The helm is outfitted with a high-tech console for stress-free driving and two rows of shock-absorbing upholstered seats.

The Alpha 50 is available with a number of different deck layouts, but all offer expansive lounging areas. As standard, the aft deck sports an island sunbed and the spacious bow features another sunbed plus a console seat. Technohull says the sunbeds can double as storage areas for toys and gear.

Inside, the luxe cabin includes an oversized double bed, a separate head with a shower, and a large wardrobe. An additional cabin for two guests or a single crew cabin can also be added beneath the bow sunbed if you would like to invite a few more folks onboard. The vessel can accommodate 16 seafarers in total.

The living quarters combine modern luxury with functionality, according to Technohull. The decor pairs high-end materials with an elegant colour palette to create a plush onboard environment.

Alpha yacht, indeed.
