The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Carbon Candy Pink is the third collaboration between Hublot and The Hour Glass

Hublot’s Spirit of Big Bang collection, with its prominent barrel-shaped silhouette and avant-garde styling, has never been wanting in confidence. With the new limited-edition Spirit of Big Bang Carbon Candy Pink, the brand’s latest collaboration with The Hour Glass, Hublot is showing that there can never be too much of a good thing.

Unlike its predecessors (the Spirit of Big Bang Carbon White from 2023 and Spirit of Big Bang Carbon Green from 2024), the timepiece features a calming hue of pink that softens its 42mm frosted carbon case. Rather than a simple colour treatment, the matte pink hues found on the case and bezel is are achieved through a material process where carbon fibre is combined with composite pink elements in alternating layers. The outcome is a marbled texture that gives each case a unique appearance, without compromising the material’s strength or lightweight properties.

“At Hublot, we excel at transforming daring ideas into tangible beauty,” says Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot. “By combining Candy Pink with our cutting-edge carbon fibre, we’ve achieved a playful yet technically sound creation—serious watchmaking with a delightful nuance.”

Besides adding a touch of whimsy and expressiveness, the matte pink textures appear to temper the watch’s natural bravado. Sporting the familiar 42mm tonneau form factor of the Spirit of Big Bang line, the timepiece possesses an almost tonal restraint that extends to the open-worked dial, where pink hour markers and chronograph sub-dial details offer continuity without overwhelming the composition.

As is usually the case with the collection, the movement’s skeletonised architecture is visible through the dial. Powered by the HUB4700 automatic chronograph movement which is based on the El Primero 400 calibre, the watch boasts a power reserve of 50 hours. Limited to just 30 pieces and priced at $46,200, the Spirit of Big Bang Carbon Candy Pink is exclusive to The Hour Glass boutiques in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
