This private island resort in Bora Bora can now be yours for US$2.7 million a week

Booking the entirety of Four Seasons Bora Bora in Motu Tehotu is probably the biggest power move in the South Pacific

New year, new exclusive experience. Those seeking to outdo their neighbours (or treat 246 closest friends on an island far, far away) can now score in French Polynesia at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.

The resort is offering a seven-night island buyout for about US$2.7 million. It’s the first time the South Pacific resort is extending the upscale and enticing invitation, which includes access to all of Four Seasons’ 115 accommodations: 108 one- and two-bedroom overwater bungalow suites (27 of which feature private plunge pools) and seven two-and three-bedroom beachfront villa estates.

Romain Chanet, general manager of the high-end resort (a one-bedroom beachfront villa is going for US$6,740 per night in February) says they decided to present “this incredible opportunity to kick off the year” and “plant some seeds for 2024 and beyond.” It’s a natural progression, says Chanet, who noted the resort’s record business since the pandemic and increased interest from large groups visiting the resort for a special getaway.

So what do you get for the money? In addition to the aforementioned access to all the resort’s villas (and staff, natch), guests will have the chance to dine at their leisure at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora’s four open-air restaurants, helmed by executive chef Sebastien Fontes. Wine connoisseurs and spirit aficionados will be treated to wines chosen by Aude Vaillard, the head sommelier, and cocktails created by Romain D’Antuono, head mixologist.

This being an island resort surrounded by blue lagoons teeming with colorful fish and coral, there are watersports aplenty. You can opt for stand-up paddleboarding after breakfast at Tere Nui, follow it up with an excursion on one of the property’s Waverunners excursions, and perhaps enjoy a chartered boat ride, all before lunch. If you scuba dive, you’ll be in good hands with DIVEASY instructors, and if an afternoon game of tennis is more your speed, you can brush up on any dormant skills with international pro Lucas Segati.

Whether you’ve opted for the lagoon sanctuary exploration with marine biologists or simply decided to lounge on the white-sand beach, the Te Mahana Spa is ready to pamper buyout guests. One wellness treatment per person is included in the stay as is a guided fitness class such as mat Pilates or yoga (the latter offered right on the beach).

And while the unmatched setting would lend itself well to milestone birthdays or anniversaries or celebratory events like a destination wedding or vow renewal ceremony, the buyout need not be in service of a big-deal party or special gathering.

“Keep in mind, a couple could book this and have the entire resort and staff to themselves,” says Chanet.
