The Balearic Island of Ibiza is more famous for being a clubber’s paradise than a resort enclave. But all that is set to change when the five-star Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay opens on 30 June. The 152-key property, located on the shores of Talamanca Bay just 10 minutes out of Ibiza Town and a half-hour from the local airport, is designed to be the ultimate playground for grown-ups.

Think facing the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea and a host of upscale dining options. The resort’s marquee restaurant, Nobu, serves chef Matsuhisa’s signature Japanese fusion dishes, plus a few special creations inspired by the island.

Meanwhile, Chambao, with its refined take on modern Mexican fare, craft cocktails and fresh seafood, is the go-to place for chill-out parties. For big nights out, head to Pacha – the legendary club that inspired Singapore’s Zouk – that’s within walking distance of the resort. The next day, recover from all the action at the on-site Six Senses spa. Rates start at €490 (S$740) per night, based on double occupancy.
