665°F

665oF, named for the temperature its wood-fired oven and grill operate at, checks all the boxes when it comes to serving up quality beef in a cosy, swanky setting, what with its panoramic views of the city from its 38th floor perch. The restaurant’s chic and elegant interiors are the brainchild of designer Andre Fu of AFSO. For starters, order the Pan-Seared Hokkaido Scallops, then move on to the Blackmore Wagyu Striploin and the Boston Lobster Thermidor, which is gloriously coated with melted cheese.

Artemis

Perched on the 40th floor of CapitaGreen, Artemis continues to be one of our top favourites for both date nights and New Year’s Eve countdown parties. Here, executive chef Oliver Hyde’s culinary creations and views of the Marina Bay skyline are served in equal measure. Kick off your gastronomic journey here with starters such as Quinoa Falafel and Roasted Fremantle Octopus before moving on to the mains, which include the Stuffed Piquillo Pepper, Atlantic Cod and Spiced Challans Duck Breast. When booze comes to play, the restaurant has a stellar happy hour menu daily from 3pm until closing.

CÉ LA VI

It’s a travesty not to visit CÉ LA VI at least once when you’re in Singapore. A boat-shaped restaurant, bar and nightclub balances sit 57 storeys up on the iconic Marina Bay Sands building, making it one of the most distinguishable sights on the skyline. Indulge in the restaurant’s modern Asian cuisine or head over after hours when the party is in full swing. Its latest concept, ‘BAO by CÉ LA VI’, offers a selection of bite-sized delights of the crowd favourite BAO burger. Curated by group executive chef Joey Sergentakis, pair your cocktails with the vegetarian-friendly Sichuan Eggplant, Chicken Karaage or Black Angus BBQ Beef, each served in a platter of three.

Jaan’s presence in the Singaporean dining scene is monumental. The one-Michelin star modern French restaurant also made the cut for Asia’s 50 best restaurants in 2020, cementing its position as one of the most important dining establishments in the country. The 40-seater restaurant is led by Chef Kirk Westaway, whose focus is on modern, innovative cuisine with an eye on seasonality. Located on the 70th floor of Swissotel The Stamford, the dining experience brings together exquisite food coupled with some of the best views of the Marina Bay skyline.

Lavo Italian Restaurant and Rooftop Bar

Sitting at the peak of Marina Bay Sands hotel, Lavo continues to be a thriving hotspot for celebrity DJ-led shindigs. Its stunning city panoramas aren’t the only thing worth raving about; the Italian restaurant also serves up hearty portions of brunch favourites available from 10:30am to 3:30pm daily. The signature Meatball is one dish you shouldn’t miss – the mother of all meatballs is made from a one-pound mixture of ground Imperial wagyu, veal and Italian sausage all rolled and mashed into one.

LeVel33

This handsome craft brewery offers Singapore’s version of Park Hyatt Tokyo’s impressive views. Its penthouse altitude of 33 floors makes it the tallest microbrewery in the world. There are five classic brews served here: a stout, a wheat beer, an IPA, a blonde lager and a house porter. But look out for their festive brews, which are known to be quite exotic. Don’t come here expecting boring bar bites; in fact, the culinary creations at LeVel33 always promise to have just a little bit more edge. Think Wagyu Tri-Tip, which is dry-aged in-house, and the Ah Hua Kelong Seafood Bouillabaisse or Local Barramundi from Kuhlbarra, which pay homage to local suppliers and dishes. All in all, it’s a great place to get high.

Salt Grill & Sky Bar

Experience the finest cuisine from Down Under high up in the sky. Located on the 55th and 56th floors of ION Orchard, Salt Grill & Sky Bar is possibly the vantage point in our city’s famed Orchard Road stretch. Helmed by Australian head chef Jake Kowalewski, the establishment features lofty floor-to-ceiling windows that put the city skyline right beneath your window. Feast on culinary creations like Whipped Truffle Burrata, Amelia Park Lamb Loin and Fregola Pasta with saffron and goat’s cheese. You’ll also be nicely surprised by the restaurant’s little details such as the private, hidden lift that whisks you up from the fourth floor of the mall to Salt’s celestial heights.

Skai

Skai offers a holistic dining experience that melds glorious food, elegant interiors and a panoramic view of the city to boot. Sitting on the 70th floor of Swissotel The Stamford, the relatively new dining establishment serves up the freshest ingredients using time-honoured Japanese culinary techniques. A must-try from the lunch menu – two- and three-course menus are available – is the Blackmore Wagyu Tataki, a brilliant take on beef tartare that involves black truffle, daikon and ponzu.

Zafferano

While good Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in Singapore, none of them do it quite like Zafferano. Elevated 43 storeys above ground, this Italian fine-dining establishment takes up a large chunk of aerial estate, offering a main dining area, a private room and an alfresco terrace with a whopping 246 seating capacity. Located within the Ocean Financial Centre and overlooking the Marina Bay skyline, it’s a great spot to knock back a few post-work tipples on the al fresco deck before heading indoors for some of chef Andrea de Paola’s seasonal Italian creations.
