Why you should care: Mexican furniture and accessories brand Pérch, helmed by designer Paulina Herrera, features finely crafted furniture and decorative objects influenced by classic Nordic design. Functional and timeless, each piece of furniture and accessory has been meticulously handcrafted by expert Mexican woodworkers. Notable pieces from Pérch’s Ensamble collection include the Ibis sofa, Alondra armchair and Quetzal coffee table, among others. They all flaunt subtle curves and retain the natural tones of various woods, such as walnut and rosy trumpet tree.

Samsung unveils its newest foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G

Why you should care: Following hot on the heels of the Galaxy Fold is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, the South Korean electronics giant’s latest foldable smartphone. Lamborghini and Cervélo Cycles create a road bike inspired by the Aventador

Why you should care: The Cervélo R5 Automobili Lamborghini Edition is the ultimate road bike, created by Lamborghini and Canadian-based bicycle manufacturer Cervélo Cycles. In fitting fashion, the bike’s design is bold and striking, reflecting one of Lamborghini’s most powerful models – the Aventador SVJ, which set the Nürburgring Nordschleife record in 2018. Built with only Italian-made components, such as a Campagnolo Super Record EPS mechanical assembly and Vittoria Corsa Pro tyres, the road bike is ideal for staged races and hill climbs. To celebrate Lamborghini’s founding in 1963, only 63 examples of the Cervélo R5 Automobili Lamborghini Edition will be produced, priced at US$18,000 (S$24,600) each.

Audemars Piguet releases a limited-edition Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon Chronograph

Why you should care: Last July, Audemars Piguet released a slew of new dial iterations for its Code 11.59 line, and most recently, the Swiss luxury watchmaker released another take, this time in the form of a magnificent self-winding flying tourbillon chronograph. Set in an 18-karat white gold case, the 3D architectural dial has over 100 hand-polished angles finished with satin-brushing and sandblasting techniques. On its caseback, the 9252 movement can be seen through the openwork rhodium-toned 22-karat pink gold oscillating weight. Only 50 pieces of the timepiece will be produced, priced at CHF240,000 (S$360,796) each.

Why you should care: Tailored for the modern gentleman, Dolce & Gabbana’s The Palermo collection is the unification of refinement, functionality, class and innovation. A flawless 102-carat diamond will be up for auction on Sotheby’s

Why you should care: Sotheby’s has announced that a 102.39-carat D colour flawless oval diamond will be up for sale in a single-lot auction in Hong Kong – this marks the eighth time that a diamond of its kind has been put up for auction. It is also the first time that a stone of such magnitude will be offered without reserve to the highest bidder, regardless of its actual price or value. The magnificent, one-of-a-kind diamond was first discovered in the Victor Mine in Ontario, and took over a year to be cut and polished to perfection. Online bidding begins tomorrow (15 September 2020), with the live auction taking place on 5 October 2020 at 9pm.

Why you should care: To commemorate Scuderia Ferrari’s 1,000th Grand Prix, Hublot, which long had ties to the automaker’s racing division, has released two special editions of the Big Bang. The first is inspired by Ferrari’s iconic prancing horse logo and built with a 45mm case forged from polished white gold; the second has a futuristic-looking case that’s made of a unique carbon ceramic, jointly created by Hublot and Ferrari. Each edition, equipped with Hublot’s sterling Unico movement and limited to 20 pieces, will retail for US$52,600 (S$71,880).
